OUR RANCH

Alpacas de la Luna is located in Elk Grove, California, just 10 miles south of Sacramento. 

 We purchased our spot in the country with the intent to raise livestock.  Problem was, we didn’t know what kind!  My husband, Jeff read an article about alpacas and he was hooked.  We started in April 2002 with four bred females.  We currently have over 35 alpacas on our ranch.

 After visiting many ranches and speaking to all of the wonderful people in this business, we were ready to building our ranch.  Our layout is designed for maximum efficiency and optimal use on small acreage.

 We have a center corridor that allows us to quickly and safely move our alpacas.  The barns provide our alpacas protection from both the heat and rainy weather.

Our alpacas are grazing on irrigated pastures and a 10-foot perimeter fence provides an extra source of protection from any possible predators.
